Our kids’ ceramics classes (ages 5+) focus on hand-building, creativity and fun. Children learn to shape clay, create sculptures and develop fine motor skills in a supportive environment.
Looking to master hand‑building and sculptural ceramics?
Our sculptural ceramics workshops teach a range of techniques, including wheel throwing and hand‑building. Over five sessions, you’ll explore preparing clay, forming complex shapes, decorating and glazing, and firing. Participants rotate between wheel‑throwing stations and hand‑building tables to experience both disciplines. Suitable for beginners and experienced makers.
Looking for a creative activity for your child?
Our kids’ ceramics classes are designed for children aged 5 and up, giving them the freedom to get their hands into the clay, make things and explore their own ideas.Children learn hand-building techniques while creating sculptures and other ceramic pieces. Along the way, they develop creativity, fine motor skills and confidence through a hands-on activity that is both fun and screen-free.Our instructors create a supportive and encouraging environment where children can work at their own pace, experiment and enjoy the process. No previous experience is needed.
Want to paint without getting muddy?
During our ceramic painting sessions you pick a pre‑made bisque piece, plan your design and choose your colours. Painting sessions last about two hours; the price equals the cost of the piece you select. We glaze and fire your artwork to ensure a perfect finish and let you know when it’s ready for pickup. Many bisque items come from social initiatives, so your creativity supports the community too.

Our membership packages give experienced potters independent access to the studio with punch‑card hours for self‑guided work, including materials and firing. We also offer studio rental for private events, professional kiln firing and exclusive services to make your ceramics journey even more rewarding. Share the joy with gift cards and custom packages.

I joined School of Clay Ceramics five weeks ago, and I can’t say enough good things about this pottery studio! Naomi, the instructor and owner, is a talented artist whose teaching is fluid and intuitive, allowing each student to connect with the work and understand at their own pace. She’s always there to guide when needed, making the experience both personal and enjoyable. There are other teachers whom I’ve met but haven’t had the pleasure of attending their class. The studio has a warm, collaborative atmosphere, with friendly students of all levels, creating a true sense of community. And, there is always great music playing in the studio! I look forward to my classes every week. Spending time here brings me so much joy and happiness.
